DAY 1: BELÉM
Arrival in Belém. You will be met at the airport and transferred to the Hotel Atrium Quinta de Pedras, located in the city’s historic centre.

DAY 2: BELÉM
Guided visit to the Açai Fair and the Pedra do Peixe within the famous “Ver-o-Peso” Market (the largest open-air fair in South America). Here, you will purchase ingredients for a Paraense culinary experience. After selecting your products, you will head to a colonial house to prepare lunch with a professional kitchen team. Following this gastronomic experience, return to the hotel for a rest. At 5:00 PM, join a group boat excursion to enjoy a beautiful sunset accompanied by live music and regional dances.

DAY 3: BELÉM
At 8:00 PM, transfer to Belém’s river terminal. Board a boat to Ilha do Combu to experience life in the riverine suburban communities. Enjoy a tasting of Amazonian chocolate and visit the Street River project (a floating art gallery) while navigating past traditional caboclo homes. Continue to Boa Vista do Acará to meet Seu Ladi, an 80-year-old guardian of the forest. Embark on a 30-minute sensory immersion through a “medicinal plant corridor” to reach the majestic Samaumeira, the largest tree in the forest. After lunch (not included), transfer to Espaço Ygara for a traditional aromatic herbal bath – a medicinal and ritual practice passed down through three generations.

DAY 4: ILHA DE MARAJÓ
Transfer to the Port of Belém and board a public regional boat to Soure, the main hub of Marajó Island, the world’s largest fluvial island. Check-in at Pousada Canto do Francês, followed by a briefing with your guide. Visit Pesqueiro Beach, one of the region’s most beautiful spots, where the river and the sea meet. Later, enjoy the Mironga Experience, a tasting of the famous Marajó buffalo cheese, while learning about the farm’s sustainable production philosophy.

DAY 5: ILHA DE MARAJÓ
In the morning, explore the town of Soure, including the local market, a buffalo leather tannery, and a Marajoara ceramics atelier. After lunch, relax on Barra Velha Beach. In the afternoon, visit Fazenda Bom Jesus, where vast wetlands host numerous bird species. Enjoy a 4km trek through the plains as the sun sets.

DAY 6: ILHA DE MARAJÓ
Visit the Caruãnas do Marajó Institution: This is a school and centre for the production of Marajoara ceramics, with a primary focus on environmental respect and the promotion of cultural traditions. The institution was envisioned and founded by the renowned Shaman (Pajé) D. Zeneida Lima, whose life story was so impactful that it inspired a documentary film.
Following this, you will visit the rural communities of Caju-Úna and Céu, both located within a protected area. Here, the mangroves are part of the world’s largest continuous mangrove strip. These small villages are captivating for their beauty, vibrant colours of their stilt houses (palafitas), and the genuine simplicity and friendliness of the residents – not to mention their secluded beaches and heavenly landscapes. Free evening.

DAY 7: ALTER DO CHÃO – THE MOST BEAUTIFUL RIVER BEACHES IN THE WORLD
Transfer to the Port of Soure for your return journey (Marajó-Belém) via speedboat: depart at 5:30 AM, arriving approximately 7:30 AM. You will then be transferred to Belém Airport for your flight to Santarém. Upon arrival, our driver will meet you for the transfer to the stunning village of Alter do Chão. Situated on the banks of the Rio Taspajós, its river beaches were famously named by The Guardian as some of the most beautiful in Brazil. Check-in at Pousada Casa Saimiri.

DAY 8: ALTER DO CHÃO – RIO ARAPIUNS – COMUNIDADE DE URUCUREA – COMUNIDADE DE COROCA
Depart for the Rio Arapiuns region with a stop at Praia do Zé. Next, visit the Urucurea Community to admire traditional handicrafts made from native palm leaves. The village also features unique graffiti murals painted by Brazilian artists on the traditional caboclo houses. After a stop at Praia do Toronó, we reach the Coroca Community for lunch. Here, you will visit a project dedicated to the repopulation of Amazonian turtles and the production of honey from native bees. Transfer to the São Marcos Community for dinner and an overnight stay in hammocks.
Note: If the river beaches have already emerged, the overnight stay will take place in hammocks on Caracaraí Beach – a traditional indigenous custom of grilling fresh fish over an open fire on the sand.

DAY 9: COMUNIDADE DE SÃO MIGUEL – COMUNIDADE DE SÃO MARCOS – COMUNIDADE DE ANÃ
Set sail along the Arapiuns, one of the most beautiful rivers in the Amazon. Stops include Ponta do Icuxi and Ponta do Toronó for a refreshing swim. Upon reaching the São Miguel Community, a local guide will lead you by canoe, and then on a forest trek to immerse yourself in a pristine, crystal-clear stream. Return to the community for lunch. Afterwards, enjoy a pleasant walk to the São Marcos Community to discover the Tucumã straw handicrafts decorated with natural dyes. Continue the river journey to the Coroca Community to visit the freshwater turtle lake and bee farm. Dinner and overnight stay in hammocks.

DAY 10: ANÃ – COMUNIDADE DE MARIPÁ – ALTER DO CHÃO
After breakfast on the beach, board a traditional vessel to follow the Arapiuns River, passing Ponta Grande. Arrive at the Anã Community for a final look at local crafts before starting a 7km forest trek to reach Maripá, located on the shores of the Tapajós with its magnificent beaches. Engage with the local community over a lunch of fresh grilled fish. Witnessing the children’s curiosity, listening to forest legends, and sharing their passion for soccer and fishing offers a truly authentic and rejuvenating experience. After lunch, cross the Tapajós by bajara (local boat) to return to Alter do Chão. Check-in at Pousada Casa Saimiri. The night is free to explore. These memories will be eternal!
