DAY 1: THE GATEWAY TO THE AMAZON

Arrival in Manaus. Meet and greet your driver at the airport, followed by transfer and check-in at Hotel Casa dos Frades (Standard room). Afternoon at leisure to explore Manaus.

DAY 2-4: AMAZON TUPANA LODGE, IN THE HEART OF THE FOREST

Transfer to Ceasa Port and board a boat for a river transfer to Careiro (30 min), passing the famous “Meeting of the Waters,” where the Rio Negro and Rio Solimões run side by side. Meet your driver for a road transfer (3 hours) to the Tupana River. After a final short boat ride (20 min), arrive at Amazon Tupana Lodge. Check into your Superior River View room, followed by a lodge briefing and an overview of scheduled activities. Activities include forest treks, river navigation by paddle and motorised canoes, piranha fishing, Amazonian sunrises and sunsets, and night safaris. Full board included.

DAY 5: ALTER DO CHÃO AND THE WORLD’S MOST BEAUTIFUL RIVER BEACHES

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Santarém. Meet and greet our driver and transfer to the beautiful Vila de Alter do Chão, located on the Tapajós River, whose beaches were voted among the most beautiful in Brazil by “The Guardian.” Check-in at Pousada Villa Arumã. Briefing with a local representative to present optional excursions with an Italian-speaking guide.

DAY 6-7: EXPERIENCING THE RIO TAPAJÓS

Days at leisure to experience the region’s nature and local communities. Tours can be purchased during the briefing through our representative. Experience the heart of the Amazon: trek the Flona Forest, navigate the Jari Canal, and relax on the Rio Arapiuns, all while sharing in the rich culture of caboclo communities.

DAY 8: SANTARÉM-BELÉM

Transfer to Santarém airport for your flight to Belém. Meet and greet your driver at the airport, and transfer to Hotel Atrium Quinta de Pedras in the city’s historic centre. Evening at leisure; we recommend dining at Estação das Docas or at the cosy gourmet bistro within the pousada (not included).

DAY 9: BELÉM

A full day dedicated to visiting Belém. The visit includes the Museum of Sacred Art of Pará, the Castelo Fortress, Encontro Museum, Mangal das Garças Natural Park, the Basilica of Nazaré, the Emilio Goeldi Museum, and the famous Teatro da Paz.

DAY 10-11: ILHA DE MARAJÓ

Transfer to the Port of Belém and board a public regional boat to reach Soure, the main urban centre of Marajó Island – the largest fluvial island on the planet. Check-in at Pousada O Canto do Francês. Briefing with your guide regarding your stay on the island. Recommended visits include Fazenda Bom Jesus for birdwatching, the fishing communities of Céu and Caju-una with their stunning deserted beaches, and local ceramic craft workshops.

DAY 12: RETURN BELÉM / ITALY

Board at the port of Soure for a public regional boat transfer back to Belém. Meet and greet your driver at the port and transfer to Belém airport for your return flight.
