Meet Cultour

Cultour was born from a life-changing project. Marco Tradio first travelled to Brazil in 1997 and fell so deeply in love with the country that, in 2002, he decided to make it his home. After a brief experience in traditional tourism in Salvador, he launched Cultour in June 2005. Driven by the desire to merge his two greatest passions – Brazil and travel – he created a tour operator dedicated to a new philosophy: experiential travel.

A “Cul-tour” is a “cult” journey – a journey that leaves an indelible mark on the traveller’s life.

The itineraries offered by Cultour are the result of meticulous on-the-ground research. Marco, who describes himself as a Travel Designer by passion and an entrepreneur by responsibility, travels throughout Brazil in search of exclusive, off-the-beaten-path locations, personally testing every single stay. In his selection, he prioritises the allure of charm and the understated elegance of details. 

We believe there is no such thing as a “standard” travel experience because there is no such thing as a “standard” traveller.
