DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN STUNNING RIO DE JANEIRO

Upon your arrival in Rio de Janeiro, you will be greeted by a guide who will escort you to your hotel, situated in a prime location between the vibrant neighbourhoods of Copacabana and Ipanema. After check-in, enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

DAY 2: DISCOVERING RIO WITH AN EXPERT GUIDE

Explore the world’s first metropolis recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site for its unique cultural landscape – a masterful blend of human creation and natural beauty. Your guide will lead you through the city’s iconic landmarks, including Christ the Redeemer, standing majestic in the Tijuca Forest, and Sugarloaf Mountain (Pão de Açúcar), offering breathtaking views over Guanabara Bay.

DAY 3: IMMERSING IN THE RIO LIFESTYLE

Enjoy a free day to explore the “Cidade Maravilhosa” at your own pace. In the evening, we recommend soaking up the elegant atmosphere of Ipanema and Leblon, where you can sample local delicacies at traditional “butecos.” For a night of live music, head to Lapa to discover the authentic rhythms of Brazil at renowned venues like Carioca de Gema or Rio Scenarium.

DAY 4: CROSSING THE THRESHOLD OF THE AMAZON

Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Manaus. Upon arrival, a driver will take you to your hotel. In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore the city of Manaus and its unique attractions.

DAY 5-7: DEEP JUNGLE IMMERSION

Upon arrival at Porto Ceasa, you will board a private boat for a fascinating river journey toward Careiro, passing through the famous “Meeting of the Waters” where the Rio Negro and Rio Solimões run side by side. Once in Careiro, you will meet your driver for a comfortable road transfer to the Rio Tupana.

From there, a short boat ride will take you directly to the Amaon Tupana Lodge. After check-in, you will attend an introductory briefing to plan the activities for the following days.

Included activities: Jungle treks, river exploration by paddle and motorised canoes, piranha fishing, spectacular Amazonian sunrises and sunsets, and night safaris to discover the nocturnal wildlife of the jungle.

DAY 8: SÃO LUÍS DO MARANHÃO – THE UNESCO HERITAGE OF REVIVER

After a hearty breakfast, you will be escorted to Manaus Airport for your direct flight to São Luis. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel located in the heart of the historic centre, known as “Reviver”. This district is a UNESCO World Heritage site, celebrated for its extraordinary collection of Portuguese colonial architecture and traditional tile-covered facades.

DAY 9: FROM BARREIRINHAS TO THE LAGOA AZUL CIRCUIT

In the morning, you will join a group road transfer to Barreirinhas, where you will check into your Pousada.

In the afternoon, you will depart for a group excursion to explore the breathtaking Lagoa Bonita.

DAY 10: FROM LENÇÓIS MARANHENSES NATIONAL PARK TO LAGOA BONITA

During the morning, you will participate in a group tour to explore the marvellous Lagoa Azul. Following the excursion, you will be transferred back to São Luís do Maranhão for your overnight stay at the booked Pousada.

DAY 11: JOURNEY TO SALVADOR – THE CITY OF THE SUN

After breakfast, you will be transferred to São Luís do Maranhão Airport for your flight to Salvador. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a local guide and transferred to your hotel in the Rio Vermelho district. This neighbourhood is a popular social hub for locals, famous for the “Baianas do Acarajé” – women dressed in traditional attire who prepare acarajé, a staple of Afro-Brazilian cuisine.

DAY 12: DISCOVERING SALVADOR – CULTURE, HISTORY, AND TRADITION

Explore the “cradle” of Brazil, the former Portuguese colonial capital where cultural and religious roots run deep within the country’s largest Afro-Brazilian community. Salvador’s historic heart is divided into the Cidade Alta (Upper City) and Cidade Baixa (Lower City).

During the visit, you will discover the Pelourinho, a monumental colonial architectural complex designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. In addition, you will explore the Cidade Baixa, the iconic Igreja do Bonfim, a symbol of local faith, and the Feira de São Joaquim, the oldest market in Brazil.

DAY 13: AUTHENTIC EXPERIENCES IN SALVADOR

Enjoy a free day to soak up the vibrant atmosphere of the “Black Rome”. If it is a Tuesday evening, we highly recommend the “Terça da Benção” (Blessing Tuesday) in Pelourinho.

You can attend a historic mass at the first church built for enslaved people in Brazil – a unique ceremony blending Catholic rites with African cultural traditions. Afterwards, stroll through the streets of Pelourinho, which come alive with the powerful rhythms of percussion groups.

DAY 14: FAREWELL ADEVENTURE!

A transfer to the airport will be organised in time for your scheduled departure flight.
