Tips
Food at the support points consists of simple meals based on: rice, beans, noodles and animal proteins such as: chicken, goat, pork, fish. beans, pasta (depending on the availability of the family on the day). DAY 1 - SATURDAY 23 AUGUST - MANAUS
Arrival in Manaus (17.20). Reception at airport by driver, transfer and accommodation in superior room of Hotel Villa Amazonia (A and B) https://villaamazonia.com/pt/.

DAY 2 TO DAY 4 - SUNDAY 24 TO TUESDAY 26 AUGUST - LODGE IN THE HEART OF THE FOREST
Morning meeting at Hotel with lodge manager and group transfer to Anavilhanas Lodge (A) https://www.anavilhanaslodge.com/ accommodation in challet. Reception and commencement of activities organized by the lodge or https://www.anavilhanaslodge.com/experiencias involving safaris, forest walks, canoe navigation, interactions with natives, Amazonian sunrises and sunsets.
Check in: hotel pick-up between 8.00 am and 8.30 am, depending on hotel location.
Check-out: 8:00 a.m. for flights from 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. for flights from 6:30 p.m.
Alternative: Group transfer to Evolução Ecolodge is located on Lake Acajatuba, on the Rio Negro, 70 kilometres from Manaus. Meeting at the hotel group road transfer (2 hours) followed by motor canoe transfer (20 minutes) arrival at Evolução Ecolodge (B). Accommodation in two chalets overlooking the river. DAY 6 - THURSDAY 28 AUGUST- SÃO LUÍS - BARREIRINHAS
Private transfer to Manaus airport to board flight to Sao Luis (AZUL 08.25/14.05).Arrival in São Luís, meeting with the driver and private road transfer to Barreirinhas (4h). Arrival in Berreirinhas. Accommodation in standard room at the Pousada Porto Preguiças Resort (A and B) https://www.portopreguicas.com.br/.

DAY 7 - FRIDAY 29 AUGUST – TREKKING BAIXA GRANDE
Departure from Barreirinhas at 5am. In a 4×4 you will go directly to the National Park for a 2 hour 4WD drive to the Rio Negro with a stop to watch the sunrise. You will then hike 6 kilometres (2-3 hours) to the oasis, stopping to swim in the lagoons. Arrival at the oasis is scheduled at 10.30am. After a lunch break, return to the dunes to bathe in the lagoons and admire the sunset. Dinner in the early evening. Overnight stay in a hammock.
DAY 8 - SATURDAY 30 AUGUST – TREKKING QUEIMADA DOS BRITOS
After a simple breakfast according to the local way of life. Departure for the next oasis: Queimada dos Paulos. It will take 4 hours of walking on a 9-km route. The trek passes through breathtaking scenery and impressive views. Along the way there will be stops for swimming, photos and a snack to recharge batteries. Upon arrival at Queimada dos Britos, we will familiarise ourselves with the oasis and the native community. Another immersion in the exuberant nature to enjoy another spectacular sunset. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 9 - SUNDAY 31 AUGUST – SÃO LUÍS DO MARANHÃO
After a short breakfast, at 3:30, head to Lagoa do Junco. Trekking for 14km in 6 hours through the dunes. Watching the sunrise in this setting is fascinating. During the walk, many stops for fantastic swimming, a picnic breakfast and photos. More wonderful lagoons and the village of Bethany. Meeting with the driver and transfer off road to Santo Amaro do Maranhão, passing the last beautiful dunes and experiencing the last emotions. Lunch (not included) in Santo Amaro do Maranhão. After lunch, private road trasnfer to São Luís do Maranhão and accommodation in the superior room of the Hotel Luzeiros (A and B) https://www.luzeiroshoteis.com.br/sao-luis.

DAY 10 - MONDAY 01 SEPTEMBER - END OF OUR SERVICES
Transfer to the airport at São Luís do Maranhao for I Boarding on the client's booked flight back to Nova York. End of our services.
